Before the end of each instalment month (or hopefully the month before), you will
receive an email to tell you how much you have paid in so far and how much you have
fundraised (a combination of anything you have raised independently and transferred in,
anything that we have received from JustGiving in your name and anything you have
earned by supporting our events).
It will read something like this…
… you have paid in your deposit of £150 and fundraised £358.65 (breakdown below).
You are therefore £141.35 behind target. Please arrange to pay £141.35 by 31st March.
We are committed to a principle that nobody should ever miss out on an experience
due to a factor such as cost. So, if you can’t make this payment now, please speak to
me, I can’t help if you don’t, and I absolutely will help if you do speak to me.
You may choose not to make the payments initially because you are confident of
fundraising much more throughout 2025. Be aware that this is a risk and that I will need
to keep on top of whether you are doing so, and it won’t be in anyone’s interest to
receive a request for hundreds or over a thousand in one go later in the year.
I will always try to get you an update ad hoc if you request one, it’s hours and hours of
work each time, so that won’t happen straight away.
